Funders punish open-access dodgers

There is an article in Nature (April 10, 2014) about agencies such as NIH and Wellcome Trust who have moved from the carrot approach to the big stick approach to get scientists to comply with their policies of publishing the work they have funded in open-access journals.  They are starting withhold money from those who don’t follow the policy.
