CONFERENCE LOCATION : Mystic, Connecticut, USA Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations at this luxury property (with in-room Internet access, coffeemakers, hairdryers & ironing setup, restaurants, lounge, indoor pool & gym). The IAMSLIC Group Rate is ONLY available from the Hilton Mystic Hotel by phone or fax, NOT by the Internet. Wednesday, October 8 will be spent at University of Connecticut Avery Point. Attendees will be bused to/from the event. Following the formal conference sessions, attendees may opt to tour the shore-side facilities and library of the Avery Point campus (featuring the historic Avery Point Lighthouse) or, take a boat trip with Project Oceanology. The Project O boat trip is available by pre-registration on a first-come/first-served basis (the limit for the trip is 40 people). Thursday, October 9 the conference ends after lunch in mid-afternoon. Following the conference-closing there will be optional tours of the Mystic Seaport Library & Archives. TRAVEL The 2003 Conference website contains extensive information about traveling to Mystic, Connecticut. In addition, Mr. Jan Heckman, Conference Host, is maintaining a list to help travelers share rides with other attendees. Types: Member, Exhibitor, Sponsor Non-Member Student Daily Attendee Guest Events Types 1- 3 include: Daily breaks and lunches Monday - Thursday Transportation to and from the University of Connecticut Avery Point Conference banquet 1 copy of the IAMSLIC 2003 Proceedings. Additionally, those registering as a Non-Member (Type 2) will receive a complimentary IAMSLIC membership for 2004. Type 4 includes: Daily breaks and lunch for the selected day(s) or specific events. CANCELLATION POLICY Registrants who are unable to attend the conference must notify conference planners by September 28, 2003 to receive a partial refund or credit.
