(The published version is the  archival work; the OA version is merely a means of access to a supplementary  version of it. It is not the published work.)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"collapse;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\">(2) Always give the URL or DOI  of the OA version for access purposes, along with the citation to the published  version.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"collapse;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\">(3) In citing (in the text) the  location for quoted excerpts, use the published version&#8217;s page-span if you know  them; otherwise use section-heading plus paragraph number. (Indeed, it is good  to add section-heading plus paragraph-number in any case.)<\/span><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_quote\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"gmail_quote\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"h5\"><span style=\"collapse;\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"im\">\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\">What follows is the  pertinent <\/span><a title=\"http:\/\/www.apastyle.org\/electext.html\" href=\"http:\/\/www.apastyle.org\/electext.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\">extract<\/span><\/a><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"> from the APA Style Manual:<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"im\">\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"collapse;\"><span style=\"bold;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\">-To cite a specific part of a  source, indicate the page, chapter, figure, table or equation at the appropriate  point in text. Always give page numbers for quotations. Abbreviate the words  page and chapter in such text citations:<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"bold;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"collapse;\"><span style=\"bold;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"> (Cheek &amp; Buss,  1981, p.332)\u00e2\u20ac\u00a8 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 (Shimamura, 1989, chap. 3) <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"bold;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"collapse;\"><span style=\"bold;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"bold;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"collapse;\"><span style=\"bold;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"small;\"> For electronic sources  that do not provide page numbers, use the paragraph number, if available,  preceded by the \u00c2\u00b6 symbol or the abbreviation para.
