{"id":2084,"date":"2019-07-20T03:14:06","date_gmt":"2019-07-20T00:14:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iamslic.org\/afriamslic\/?page_id=2084"},"modified":"2020-03-10T11:47:24","modified_gmt":"2020-03-10T08:47:24","slug":"projects","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.iamslic.org\/afriamslic\/projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong p=\"\" style=\"color:#0000FF\" ;=\"\">AFRIAMSLIC Directory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AFRIAMSLIC is in the process of making an online <strong>Directory of Africa Aquatic Institutions, Libraries and Professionals involved with Aquatic Science (Marine, Brackish and Freshwater) <\/strong>\u201cAFRIAMSLIC Directory\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong p=\"\" style=\"color:#0000FF\" ;=\"\">Objectives of the Directory Project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul align=\"justify\"><li>Identify and document the institutions active in the\nfield of aquatic sciences (international organizations, academic, governmental\nand private institutions (research institutes, government agencies, schools,\nuniversities, associations, private organizations and nonprofit making\norganization) providing information services for many areas including: marine,\nbrackish and freshwater sciences, environmental, oceanography, geology,\nfisheries, meteorology, biology, and more;<\/li><li>Identify libraries and information centers involved\nwith aquatic science in all aspects of Freshwater, Brackish and Marine science\nand their allied disciplines; <\/li><li>Capture information on the library and information\nprofessionals ;<\/li><li>Identify the main sectors and engagements related to\naquatic and marine sciences in Africa, which will help establish a baseline of\nthe efforts in those areas and provide useful information for the Africa region\nand the International aquatic &amp;amp; marine community;<\/li><li>Highlight institutional activities and promote marine\nand aquatic research activities within the region;<\/li><li>Foster cooperation and bring on board institutions and\norganization working with aquatic and marine information in Africa;<\/li><li>Provide stakeholders an effective way to know who else\nis out there to be a new potential partner.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AFRIAMSLIC Directory AFRIAMSLIC is in the process of making an online Directory of Africa Aquatic Institutions, Libraries and Professionals involved with Aquatic Science (Marine, Brackish and Freshwater) \u201cAFRIAMSLIC Directory\u201d.
