Objectives

AFRIAMSLIC Objectives:

• Promote cooperation within Africa and develop strong, ongoing relationships and information networks with libraries and organizations managing aquatic science information at national, sub-regional, regional and international levels, taking into account the priorities of Member from Africa ;
• Improve dissemination of aquatic information and promote resource sharing among Aquatic Libraries and Information Centers which specialize in any aspect of Freshwater, Brackish and Marine science and their allied disciplines ;
• Increase support for aquatic libraries and Information centers by strengthening their relevance and increasing their visibility in a positive context ;
• provide a forum to exchange and explore ideas on issues of mutual concern for aquatic library and information professionals ;
• Seek sponsor funding to fundraising the association activities and help members to attend meetings and conferences.
