  • Anne Kolb Nature Center:  The Anne Kolb Nature Center at West Lake Park is a remarkable mangrove eco-system that invites you to explore its brackish 1,500-acre realm by paddle, bike or foot. Rent a canoe or kayak for only $15 and paddle through the tidal channels deep in the mangroves.   • Hollywood North Beach Park:  This popular 56-acre park, acquired by Broward County in 1988 and located at A1A and Sheridan Street, provides access to 1.1 miles of the City of Hollywood’s public beach and beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway.  Includes the Turtle Cafe, observation tower, picnic shelters and areas, and fishing piers.


  • Dania Beach Pier:  Dania Beach’s famous fishing Pier is open to the public daily from 6:00am – Midnight, 7 days a week. The Pier Restaurant (Quarterdeck) is available for lunch and dinner. New chickee huts and bathrooms have been added in addition to the widening of the beach.


  • Sea Legs III – Deep Sea Fishing:  The South Florida-Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood area is called ”The Deep Sea Fishing Capital of the World” !!  It couldn’t be more appropriately named.  The Fort Lauderdale area and the entire state of Florida is surrounded by three great bodies of water, each having their own characteristics and qualities that attract fish of different species. There is no other place in the world that it would be more appropriately named.

  • Water Taxi:  EXPLORE South Florida from The Water Taxi.   • Hollywood Trolley:  The Hollywood Trolley provides a public transportation service to improve mobility, enhance the visitor experience and ease parking demand and traffic congestion.  Operates every Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday, 10am – 10pm, Friday & Saturday 10am – 11pm.  Departs approximately every 30 minutes from over a dozen stops on Hollywood beach and historic downtown.  Cost is $1 per ride/per person – riders will pay on-board the trolley – Exact change required.  http://www.visithollywoodfl.org/trolley.aspx . (The conference hotel, the Hollywood Beach Marriott, is a pickup site of the Hollywood Trolley).  


  • Broward B-Cycle (24/7 Bike Sharing Stations):  Bike rental is generally intended for longer term use – several hours or days at a time – like traditional car rental. Bike sharing, on the other hand, is more similar to a taxi cab ride – short, point-to-point trips across town. Bikes in a bike-share system are available when you need them and safe and secure when you don’t!
